Crab University 14U National survives Southern Elite Puerto Rico rally, escapes with 4-2 victory

Southern Elite Puerto Rico wasn’t able to overcome the big hole it dug itself into against Crab University 14U National, and Southern Elite Puerto Rico lost 4-2 to Crab University 14U National after falling behind by four runs in the third inning.
Southern Elite Puerto Rico scored two runs in the fifth on an RBI single by Yamil. Despite its efforts, Southern Elite Puerto Rico couldn’t finish the comeback.
Southern Elite Puerto Rico couldn’t get anything going as long as Thomas Keehn was pitching. Keehn held Southern Elite Puerto Rico hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four.
Four relief pitchers made sure the win didn’t fall through the cracks for Crab University 14U National. JP Peyton faced one batter in relief, while Alex Greene managed to record two outs to aid the victory.
The lead stayed with Crab University 14U National after the first, when it scored one run on an RBI single by Jack Bulger.
Crab University 14U National built upon its lead with two runs in the second. The inning got off to a hot start when Hunter DiCello doubled, scoring Jake Maske.
