CrabFest 18U National Team take out FIELD GENERALS with help from Gerald Buchanan, 7-3

CrabFest 18U National Team beat FIELD GENERALS 7-3 in six innings on Saturday at Baseball Heaven behind Gerald Buchanan, who had two extra base hits.
CrabFest 18U National Team got the win thanks in large part to Maceo Campbell’s dominant, 10-strikeout performance. Campbell allowed two earned runs, two hits and five walks over six innings.
Colin Bergh, Buchanan and Marcus Brown helped lead CrabFest 18U National Team . They combined for seven hits and three RBIs.
The lead stayed with CrabFest 18U National Team after the first, when it scored two runs on a solo home run by Buchanan.
CrabFest 18U National Team pushed across two runs in both the second inning and the fifth. In the second, CrabFest 18U National Team scored on a two-run single by Tim Hannible, plating Brown and Garrett Lyons.
One run in the bottom of the fourth helped FIELD GENERALS close its deficit to 4-1. A fielder’s choice triggered FIELD GENERALS ‘s comeback. Campbell ended the inning by getting Goodwin to ground out.
CrabFest 18U National Team added two more runs in the top of the fifth. A single by Brown ignited the offense,, plating Buchanan. That was followed up by Clark Reese’s single, scoring Bergh.
A two-run sixth inning helped bring FIELD GENERALS within three. An RBI double by Nevins and a sacrifice fly by Dirusso set off FIELD GENERALS rally. CrabFest 18U National Team closed the game out when Campbell got Viscusi to ground out.
