Early lead gives Crab University 14U National victory over Dominican Republic, 12-1

Crab University 14U National jumped out to an early lead on Dominican Republic and captured a 12-1 victory on Friday at AAU International Championship.
 
With seven runs in the first three innings, Crab University 14U National left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
 
Greene racked up four RBIs on three hits for Crab University 14U National.
 
Dominican Republic couldn’t get anything going as long as Mitchell Thornton was pitching. Dominican Republic managed just one hit off of the Crab University 14U National’s pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.
 
Crab University 14U National tacked on another three runs in the third. Greene’s single got things going, bringing home Keehn. That was followed up by Bulger’s double, plating Greene.
 
Crab University 14U National piled on five more runs in the bottom of the fourth. A clutch bases loaded walk scored Trey Taylor to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Greene’s double, plating JP Peyton, Brendan Munnelly and Keehn.
