Early lead gives CrabFest All Americans victory over CBA Cavs, 10-1

CrabFest All Americans jumped out to an early lead on CBA Cavs and captured a 10-1 victory on Saturday at Peoria Sports Complex.

With nine runs in the first three innings, CrabFest All Americans left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI double by Bradley Thaxton in the first inning and a walk by Brady Wilkins, a walk by Joseph Hall, a walk by Kevin Heiss, and a groundout byAndrew Keith during the second inning fueled CrabFest All Americans’ offense early.

Hall racked up three RBIs on one hit for CrabFest All Americans.

Tyler Carmen got the win for CrabFest All Americans. He allowed one run over three innings. He struck out four, walked none and surrendered four hits.

Kenny Varnell took the loss for CBA Cavs. He allowed six runs in one inning, walked four and struck out none.

CrabFest All Americans scored three runs of its own in the third. CrabFest All Americans scored on a two-run double by Hall and an RBI single by Heiss.
