GBG Inland Empire uses big third inning to beat Crab University, 13-2

GBG Inland Empire jumped out to an early lead on Crab University and captured a 13-2 victory on Saturday at Raymond S. Kellis HS.

The game was decided quickly as GBG Inland Empire exerted its will early with 10 runs in the first three innings.

An RBI double by Jordan Andrade, a passed ball, and a groundout by Julian Alvarez during the second inning supplied the early offense for GBG Inland Empire.

Alvarez racked up two RBIs on one hit for GBG Inland Empire.

Jacob Shaver had an impressive outing against Crab University’s lineup. Crab University managed just one hit off of the GBG Inland Empire’s pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his three innings of work.

Thomas Keehn led Crab University’s offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the fourth inning.

GBG Inland Empire tacked on another seven runs in the third. Jared Thomas‘s double got things going, bringing home Benny Casillas and Wesley Scott.
