GBG Marucci Blue tops CrabFest All Americans in back-and-forth affair, 7-5

GBG Marucci Blue outlasted CrabFest All Americans on Saturday after four lead changes, squeaking out a 7-5 win at Camelback Ranch-Dodgers and White Sox Spring Training.

GBG Marucci Blue took the lead in the sixth inning and held on for the victory. GBG Marucci Blue scored on a two-run double by Austin Schell off Clark Reese, scoring Tabak and Riley Livingston.

GBG Marucci Blue would not relinquish the lead as CrabFest All Americans was unable to weather a three-run sixth inning deficit.

CrabFest All Americans scored one run in the sixth on. Despite its efforts, CrabFest All Americans couldn’t finish the comeback.

Schell racked up three RBIs on two hits for GBG Marucci Blue.

Martin Matsumura recorded the win for GBG Marucci Blue. He allowed one run over two innings. Matsumura struck out two, walked one and gave up two hits.

Reese couldn’t get it done on the rubber for CrabFest All Americans, taking a loss. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.

The bottom of the first saw CrabFest All Americans take an early lead, 3-0.DaVonn Griffin got things going for CrabFest All Americans with a single. A double by Jake Guy then moved Griffin from first to third. Zach Seal doubled, bringing home Griffin. CrabFest All Americans added more runs when Guy and Seal scored on a two-run single by Grant Keller.

CrabFest All Americans got one-run rallies in the fourth inning and the sixth. In the fourth, CrabFest All Americans scored on an RBI single by Will Pyne, scoring Keller.
